First off, I cannot believe I have a four year old in my house. Seriously, where does the time go? I started the birthday season by saying I wasn't going to go big with JJ's 4th birthday and instead was going to take him on some sort of experience or vacation. We had been thinking about Legoland for some time and I thought this would be the perfect occasion. As my schedule got busier it became apparent that a trip wasn't in the books for us, so off I went to plan a party. When asking JJ what he wanted as his party theme, he immediately went to PAW PATROL. Well my house is all Paw Patrol all the time and this mama is a little Paw Patrolled out so we discussed what else he was into. Naturally we got to Ninja's and our theme was born. Due to my hectic schedule I had to plan the party during a weekday which presented it's challenges, but we were able to pull it off! All the parents got their kids there with their nanny's and sitters so it felt like a weekend to us.
JJ got into the party spirit by dressing up as a ninja for the festivities.
Food Set up and Coloring Station
Kids Table Set Up
All the kids LOVED their Ninja Straw Cups. All the kids filled them up with juice or water and hung onto them the entire party.
Every little ninja that came to the party got a ninja headband, ninja sword and some ninja stars.
For the goodie bag, we bought take out boxes and filled them with all ninja themed trinkets from ninja star erasers, to temporary tattoos, ninja bouncy balls, pencils, keychains, bracelets, necklaces, toy ninjas, fortune cookies and much more!
Dessert Table set up
For the dessert table we set up several ninja themed desserts. We created rice krispie treat sushi, chocolate nunchucks, candy karate belts, fortune cookies, ninja lollipops, ninja gummies and ninja cookies.

The flavor of the cake was marble with a chocolate center and vanilla buttercream filling. Yum is an understatement.
The chopsticks were all the rage with the kids. They were even using them for the pizza.
For entertainment we brought in some real life sensei's to teach the kids some karate / ninja moves. The kids had a blast learning some moves and playing games with their teachers.
The sensei's put them thru a series of tests, games and lessons to earn their ninja medals.
The kids that weren't into learning some new ninja moves had plenty to keep them entertained with.
We ended the afternoon singing happy birthday and eating some delicious cake.
Another successful birthday party under our belts!
