At the beginning of the month we celebrated Layla's 2nd Birthday. I always like to make the theme of my kids birthday around something they are super into at that time. That way when they look back at photos when they are older they can relive all the stuff that brought them joy as children. When trying to pinpoint what to do for Layla's birthday this year I was going between Bubble Guppies (this girl is seriously obsessed) and strawberries (her all time favorite thing to eat). I landed on Strawberry Picking because I loved the fact that we would all have an activity to do together while at the party. Plus April is the perfect month for picking some yummy strawberries.
So off in our wagon we went into the Strawberry Fields!
For the decor we went farmhouse and strawberry theme.
We set up a play station where the kids were able to play bean bag toss and hula hoop. The bean bags were DIY. Will get that posted soon.
Homemade strawberry jam was giving as a parting gift along with all the fresh berries everyone picked.
I crafted a homemade collage of a few of my favorite photos from Layla's second year. Tutorial to follow shortly.
The cake was a delicious strawberry and vanilla Semi naked cake going with the farmhouse theme.
Seems like the Birthday Girl enjoyed herself!
