In honor of National Hot Dog Day on Saturday, July 23rd, I decided to grill up some dogs that represent the three different culture here in our house. Both my husband and I are American, but he has El Salvadoran roots and my family is all from Portugal.
Here is my take on those three
SALVADORAN DOG 🇸🇻
Spread sour cream on your bun
Layer your hot dog with grilled peppers and onion
Top with green chiles
PORTUGUESE DOG 🇵🇹
Grill Linguica (Portuguese Sausage)
Spread some mayo on the bun
Top with a fried egg
ALL AMERICAN DOG 🇺🇸
Grill your hot dog
Spread relish over dog and in bun
Top with ketchup and yellow mustard
Add some wax peppers and raw onion to finish
