Mother's Day is right around the corner and I've been seeing so many gift guides circulating the net. All the gifts sound wonderful - keepsake jewelry, kitchen utensils, a new purse or plush robe maybe? It led me think about what I REALY want for Mother's Day this year. The more I thought about it the more I could bet that a lot of other mom's want the same thing- A DAY OF NOT HAVING TO DEAL WITH LIFE!
This is what my perfect Mother's Day would be like!
Sleeping in is a thing of the past for moms. If it's not this kids waking us up in the morning, it's our husband snoring or the endless to do list running through our mind. Give your mom the best gift ever and let her sleep in as late as she'd like.
BREAKFAST IN BED
Score major points with mom by meeting her in bed with a piping hot cup of coffee and some yummy toast and scrambled eggs. The thought alone of not having to get out of bed to feed everyone and herself will make you her favorite child for at least a few weeks.
NETFLIX AND CHILL
It's mom's day to walk around in her comfy sweats and veg out on the couch watching a marathon of her favorite trashy reality shows. Wanna be a champ? Join her and listen to her play by play commentary about what's going on. She's usually just talking to the TV but today she deserves a partner in crime.
HONEY DO LIST
Any mom revels in crossing stuff off her TO DO list. Get dad and help mom tackle the tasks on her list today so she doesn't have to stay up at night thinking about them. Wash the car, do the laundry, organize the garage, etc. This gift will go a long, long way.
Let mom end the day with a little alone time. Prepare a nice warm bubble bath for her to soak all her stress away in. Bring in some trashy rag mags and bonus points for candles and wine. This will be the perfect topper to the best mother's day a mom could ask for.
