Cinnamon Roll French Toast

Good morning from the Martousa house!

This morning I tried my hand at a Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bake that I saw online. I'm going to keep it real and let you know I tried this once before, but I tried to half the recipe since I didn't think we would eat the entire thing and it literally yielded two pieces so I would advise against that. This time I did the whole recipe and it turned out DELICIOUS. Be forewarned, you must like sweets if you are going to eat this. I'm not a huge sweets fan, but I was into it and the hubby couldn't get enough. As we say in my house, this got two “juandos” 👍👍

2 tubes refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing

Butter spray

6 eggs

1/2 cup milk

2 tsp cinnamon

2 tsp vanilla

1 cup maple syrup

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F/190°C

  • Spray the bottom of a 9x13 glass baking dish with the butter spray or melt butter and cover the surface

  • Pop the tubes of cinnamon rolls and cut each cinnamon roll into 8 pieces

  • Spread evenly over the butter on the baking dish

  • In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, cinnamon and vanilla

  • Pour mixture over the cinnamon rolls

  • Pour 1 cup of maple syrup over the mixture

  • Bake for 25 min

  • Top with the icing from the cinnamon roll
