In order to celebrate flag day and to really add some pizzaz to our EVERY MORNING breakfast of waffles (Jagger is on a waffle kick, what can I tell you), I decided to spruce them up a bit and flag it up.
It's a really simple way to add some fruits to your kids morning routine.
ALL YOU NEED IS:
Frozen Waffles - or you can go crazy and make your own if you have that extra time in the morning
Spread the jam over 3/4 of the waffle, leaving the right corner empty for the blueberries
Cut your bananas into half moons and line up to create the lines of the flag over the jam
Add the blueberries to the empty corner
You can also use whip cream and strawberries to create the red and white lines of the flags.
It's THAT SIMPLE!
There are so many different variations of the flag breakfast to make- Flag Toast, Flag Graham crackers, Flag pancakes and they are all super quick and easy.
Tell me - have you made any flag food designs for Flag Day or 4th of July? If so, please share in the comments below!
