In honor of Cinco De Mayo today, I made a fun Muddled Watermelon Jalapeno Margarita to enjoy with my husband. It's 5 o'clock somewhere, right?
INGREDIANTS -FOR ONE MARGARITA
Cut up chunks of Watermelon
To give the margarita an extra kick, cut up your jalapeno first and add the rounds to a glass and fill it with tequila. Put the tequila and jalapeno mixture into the fridge to chill while you prepare the other ingredients. The tequila will get infused with the kick of the jalapeno making the margarita that much more spicy.
While your tequila is marinating in the fridge, cut up your watermelon into chunks. Make sure you de-seed the pieces. It will save you time and make it much easier if you can find seedless watermelon.
Next squeeze one to two limes (to taste) into a shaker.
Add the tequila from the fridge (as much as you think you can handle) as well as the triple sec to the shaker along with the muddled watermelon.
Shake all the ingredients together.
Use one of the squeezed limes to line the rim of your glass. Pour salt on a plate and dip the rim of the glass into the salt.
Pour your drink mix into the glass and add some more jalapeno rounds and lime round to dress it up.
